(RepublicanWire.org) – Up to 40,000 Army National Guard soldiers are being punished for refusing to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The U.S. Pentagon gave these Army National Guard soldiers until last week to submit their vaccination forms. 40,000 of these soldiers had chosen not to get vaccinated, and at least 14,000 of these soldiers made it clear that they will not get vaccinated.

Now, the Army is taking action against these soldiers.

The big question leading up to the deadline was how the Army would deal with those Army National Guard soldiers who refuse to get vaccinated. Would they be expelled or reprimanded? We now have the answer.

The Army has announced that those members who violated the COVID-19 vaccination mandate have, at the very least, been barred from federally-funded drills and training.

“Beginning July 1, 2022, members of the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve who have refused the lawful DOD COVID-19 vaccination order without an approved or pending exemption may not participate in federally funded drills and training and will not receive pay or retirement credit,” the Army said.

The Army added, “Soldiers who refuse the vaccination order without an approved or pending exemption request are subject to adverse administrative actions, including flags, bars to service, and official reprimands. In the future, Soldiers who continue to refuse the vaccination order without an exemption may be subject to additional adverse administrative action, including separation.”

To put this all into perspective, 40,000 represents roughly 13% of the Army National Guard. That’s a lot of personnel.

We don’t know how many of these 40,000 soldiers have requested exemptions. We know that 14,000 have indicated that they will not take the vaccine no matter what. Either way, that is still a lot of soldiers to lose.

Let’s also not forget that this is all because these soldiers refuse to take an experimental vaccine that neither stops one from getting the coronavirus nor from spreading it. Instead, the vaccine is just said to reduce symptoms, a claim that we do not even know is true because, for example, there is no way for us to know how a person would have handled the coronavirus if he or she had not been vaccinated.
