(RepublicanWire.org) – Biden and his top officials admitted they are keeping gas prices high to force America to “go green.” Everyone from Granholm to Buttigieg said they are using the energy crisis to get more Americans to buy expensive EVs.

But electric cars aren’t as “green” as they want you to believe. Those costly batteries will one day end up in a landfill. On top of that, even they admitted the EV industry relies on a dirty, dark secret to actually work.

They are hoping, of course, you don’t read about it.

The Biden administration admitted that critical pieces of EVs and solar panels are part of a long, dark story of child labor, forced labor and child exploitation, citing cobalt mining in Africa and a polysilicon production in China.

The Department of Labor noted that “40,000 children, some as young as 6 years old, work in cobalt mines. Often working in tight spaces underground without proper safety equipment or procedures, child laborers face serious risks of injury or death.

Biden’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs revealed in a report that the cobalt used in EV batteries made in China is mined by child labor in the Congo.

Children are used to extract the material “under harsh and dangerous conditions,” the report admitted. The cobalt is then shipped to China, where it is used to make batteries.

Chinese firms own, operate, and finance most of the mining going on in the Congo. They know this is going on. Not only does China do nothing, they are bankrolling this child exploitation.

It seems the rest of the world is ignoring them too as the push for electric vehicles continues more children will be forced to work the mines.

“Cobalt is one of the most common materials found in lithium-ion battery cathodes and plays an important role in stabilizing the cathode while the battery is in operation. The Democratic Republic of Congo supplies nearly 58% of the world’s cobalt and 80% of that supply goes to China. China is the world’s leading producer of refined cobalt and a leading supplier of cobalt imports to the United States. The mining practices in Congo have been of concern because of a lack of environmental safeguards, labor, health issues, and political uncertainty. These factors may limit the availability of cobalt to the supply chain and increase its demand, leading to rapid price increases in lithium-ion batteries. Cobalt is considered the highest material supply risk for EVs in the short- and medium-term,” Tina Casey summarized from the Department of Energy’s report.

There is a lot of money involved when it comes to producing batteries for the new electric vehicles and children’s rights activists have been pushing to eliminate cobalt from electric vehicle batteries.

The problems with the energy department’s claim that they are “actively developing batteries that use 10% cobalt cathodes” is that children are still forced to do the labor to get the cobalt and even at the 10% mark  the plan is for more vehicles to use the batteries. More vehicles means more forced child labor and that the reduction to 10% cobalt does not actually give an accurate picture of how many children will be used in the future to mine high dollar metals.

Biden’s glorious green utopia relies on the exploitation, abuse, and neglect of children in Africa.

We already knew Biden’s much-loved solar panels (for which he is burning through tax dollars to procure) are made with slave labor in China.

China uses Uyghur minorities as slaves to produce most of the world’s solar panels. Biden has recently committed hundreds of millions of dollars to buy solar panels.

Yet he was the man who signed a law that prevented America from working with Chinese companies that employ slave labor.

Now we are learning his precious EVs are being produced, thanks to child exploitation.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Even in this current flood of propaganda and misinformation from the corporate media, far-left CBS News already scapegoating the “Ukraine crisis” for Joe Biden’s mishandling of the domestic economy is a real doozy.

“The U.S. economy has been hit with increased gas prices, inflation, and supply-chain issues due to the Ukraine crisis,” reads the CBS News tweet.

Democrats sure got it good.

The story itself is even more ludicrous:

Although many Americans may prefer that the U.S. stay out of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the brewing violence and political fallout are already hurting their wallets. Gasoline prices, which have hit eight-year highs — could surge even further if the hostilities escalate or if U.S. lawmakers pass another round of sanctions.

Where has CBS News been for the last 11 months?

Well, I guess it’s difficult to acknowledge reality with your nose stuck in Joe Biden’s ass.

First off, the idea that a weeks-old conflict has already rippled into our “wallets” is laughable. Other than the news-addicted stock market, we’re still a ways away from that.

Yes, Biden’s epic mismanagement of Ukraine will, of course, eventually hit us all. No question about that. But even then, Biden will still deserve the blame. The “Ukraine crisis” might not have happened had Biden not abandoned Afghanistan, abandoned America’s energy independence, killed the Keystone Pipeline, and approved Nord Stream 2. And even if the Ukraine crisis did still happen, America would not be so vulnerable to the fallout had we remained energy independent.

The bottom line, though, is that our exploding gas prices, record inflation, and supply chain snarls were already bad and getting worse long before Ukraine became an issue.

Secondly, what CBS News did here is precisely why Democrats and the corporate media are so desperate to juice up a regional conflict into a Word War.

Working together, the Democrats and the media intend to gaslight midterm voters into believing all of our economic problems are Vladimir Putin’s fault and, by extension, the fault of former President Trump — because, you know, Trump is a Russian puppet or something.

This laughably desperate ploy (which will not work) is already playing out all over the media. And the fake media will continue to read this misinformation as the economy worsens — as gas prices, supply chain issues, and inflation worsen.

Biden, right now, is loving this so-called crisis. It distracts from his failures as president, allows him to pose as commander-in-chief, and will give him a scapegoat for his disastrous handling of the economy.

Like I said, it won’t work. It won’t help Democrats or Biden in the upcoming midterms. But at least Democrats and the media have a talking point now. It might be a lousy talking point, a total lie, but it’s better than having no talking point.

(RepublicanWire.org) – A Huntsville, Alabama, solar panel factory will close after President Joe Biden exempted foreign-made bifacial solar panels from United States tariffs earlier this month.

LG Electronics, a South Korea-based company, announced that it will be closing its Huntsville solar panel manufacturing operation, resulting in the layoffs of about 160 American employees and another 60 Americans who are employed as contract workers.

Executives said they hope to retain as many employees as they can by transitioning them into the company’s other business and manufacturing sectors at its Huntsville campus. Laid-off employees will receive severance packages.

The announcement comes just weeks after Biden decided to exempt foreign-made bifacial solar panels — the overwhelming majority of which come from China — from Section 201 tariffs on solar imports to the United States that were first imposed by former President Trump in January 2018 at a 30 percent rate.

The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) had warned that Biden’s gutting U.S. tariffs on China-made bifacial solar panels would have a devastating impact on America’s solar manufacturing sector.

“China sympathizers may believe that gutting the 201 solar tariffs would not affect the U.S. solar manufacturing industry as long as Congress supports domestic producers. This is flat-out wrong,” CPA Chairman Zach Mottl said in a statement:

Without trade remedies to level the playing field for U.S. solar manufacturers that are competing against heavily subsidized Chinese companies, it won’t matter if Congress passes a domestic tax credit for American producers.

Shortly after Trump imposed the U.S. tariffs on solar imports, LG Electronics announced that they would expand their Huntsville campus to include manufacturing solar panels — a boon for the city’s local economy as every one factory job supports an additional 7.4 jobs.

In November, as Breitbart News reported, Biden’s Commerce Department sided with Chinese solar manufacturers who produce their products in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam by denying a request from American solar manufacturers to investigate U.S. tariff evasion.

Biden had been lobbied by 12 Senate Democrats who sent a letter asking the administration not to impose any tariffs on the products made in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam by the Chinese solar manufacturers.

From 2001 to 2018, U.S. free trade with China has cost Alabama at least 50,700 jobs or about 2.5 percent of the state’s employment. A previous study found that permanent 25 percent tariffs on China-made products imported to the U.S. market would create a million American jobs in five years.
