(RepublicanWire.org) – Former officials in multiple presidential administrations are questioning how disgraced gender fluid Biden Energy Department official Sam Brinton received a high level security clearance.

An outspoken LGBTQ activist who goes by they/them pronouns, Brinton was appointed in February and was the first genderfluid person to hold a federal leadership role. Brinton was fired for allegedly stealing luggage at airports in Minnesota and Las Vegas. The former official now faces a felony charge for the alleged theft in Minneapolis, while Vegas authorities have issued a grand larceny charge.

Inconsistencies in Brinton’s origin story were highlighted by news site LGBTQ Nation, pointing to a lack of transparency and differing accounts given by Brinton’s since Brinton first rose to prominence as an LGBTQ activist in 2010.

A former Justice Department Official in the Environment and Natural Resources Division said it’s possible due diligence on Brinton was sidestepped over concerns about discrimination law and public accusations of discrimination against an LGBTQ person. Such an action would be irresponsible, the former official said, as Brinton’s position within the Energy Department requires comprehensive knowledge of America’s nuclear secrets and extra vetting known as a Q clearance, which can take months to obtain if the bureaucratic process is not expedited.

Brinton’s professed past trauma would also factor into the hiring process, unless the individual had been declared healed, a former White House personnel official for four presidential administrations.

Brinton’s New York Times 2018 op-ed disclosing a traumatic upbringing would have been caught by any prior administration’s White House Research Team, rendering Brinton unfit for a political appointment, the former official explained. In the piece, Brinton claimed to have been tortured in a gay conversion therapy clinic for over two years, which included having electricity, ice and heat applied to the body to associate images of gay men with pain.

Brinton’s status as a non-presidential appointee indicates the security clearance process was conducted by the Energy Department, not the Biden administration, the former official explained. Concerns about discrimination against the individual would only be discovered if they were previously published or they came up in reference calls or social media, the former official clarified.

Brinton served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition (NE-8) in the Department of Energy (DoE). Brinton’s archived employee bio says Brinton led and oversaw “programs including the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Science and Technology and the Office of Integrated Waste Management. ” The NE-8 office “manages ongoing research and development related to long-term disposition of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste,” according to the DoE.

(RepublicanWire.org) – During a Senate hearing on Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared to change his tune when it comes to the southern border after saying earlier in the week that it is secure.

The secretary’s responses on Thursday were a change from what he told a House committee on Tuesday. When asked by Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., if the southern border is secure, Mayorkas said, “Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance security, congressman.”

Mayorkas the same series of questions the head of Border Patrol was asked by Florida officials earlier in the year, the first of which being whether the southern border is in a state of crisis.

“The entire hemisphere is suffering a migration crisis,” Mayorkas said. “We are seeing an unprecedented movement of people from country to country. It is not restricted to the southern border.”

The secretary cited “unprecedented” movement of people out of Venezuela, with many currently situated in Colombia.

Portman, not interested in Colombia or Venezuela for the purposes of the meeting, repeated his question about whether there is a crisis at the border.

“We are seeing a significant challenge at the southern border, as we are seeing it throughout the hemisphere,” Mayorkas said.

Portman’s next question was about whether there is an unprecedented number of migrants crossing the border, and Mayorkas confirmed that this past year it has been “the highest on record.”

Later in the hearing, Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., challenged Mayorkas to provide some information about what the Biden administration plans to do about an expected increase of migrants crossing the border when the Title 42 public health order is no longer in place to allow swift deportation of illegal immigrants from countries affected by COVID-19.

“Secretary Mayorkas, you and I have talked about Title 42 for about 18 months, and I’ve asked you the question, what happens when Title 42 goes away, and for 18 months you’ve said we’re working on it,” Lankford said. The Republican then pointed to the recent court order calling for Title 42 to be lifted, after the Biden administration had previously failed to lift it on its own.

“But we’re still waiting to try to figure out what happens now and how many are about to cross the border,” Lankford continued. “What’s the plan for dealing with this massive migration, illegal immigration coming now post Title 42?”

Mayorkas responded by saying the administration’s plan remains the same as it was in April, and that they “have indeed been executing on the plan.” The secretary then briefly outlined a six-pronged approach that includes a surge of resources — personnel, technology, transportation and more — to the border; increasing the processing efficiency of Customs and Border Protection; increasing the consequences for entering the country illegally; strengthening nonprofit organizations and police at the local and state levels; targeting smuggling operations; and working with other countries to the south “to deter irregular migration.”

Retired ICE director, Tom Homan, joined Brian Kilmeade on “Fox &Friends” earlier in the week, and revealed what is really happening at the border.

(RepublicanWire.org) – The Biden Administration is claiming that it alone can determine truth in order to justify using the full power of government to punish dissent, former congresswoman and Democrat presidential contender Tulsi Gabbard warned on Saturday.

In her keynote speech at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, Colorado, Gabbard warned of the Biden Administration’s use of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) to declare what is “true,” and not “misinformation” – and, then, enforce its decrees.

“One of the latest tactics that they are using, as you well know, is they claim they want to protect us from ‘misinformation,’ protect us from that which they claim is not true,” Gabbard said.

“They do so backed by the most lethal force on Earth, as they appoint themselves as the sole authority and voice of the truth, of what is information,” Gabbard warned her audience:

“So, they decide what is true and false. They decide what is misinformation and what is information.

“And, those who don’t toe the line are accused of spreading misinformation and being targeted and smeared.”

“But, it’s crazy, because, rather than actually engaging in debate, in discussion, or even entertaining answering questions sincere questions based on substance, they immediately resort to smears and name-calling.”

“Even more dangerous than getting canceled is how they weaponize the government against the people,” Gabbard warned, noting how President Biden is using the DHS to target anti-authority views and DOJ to go after parents who disagree with school board policies:

“Biden’s Department of Homeland Security declared that we are facing a heightened domestic terror threat in this country, based on three factors, the first of which is ‘the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.’ The number one threat.

“They’re the ones who get to decide what are false or misleading narratives – and, therefore, they get to decide who is targeted because of it.

“You know, Biden’s attorney general charged his domestic terrorist unit with going after people who hold anti-authority views – including parents. Parents who dare to stand up to their boards of education and their schools because they care about their children’s education. Think about the impact of this from a practical standpoint.”

As long as Americans are subjected to censorship, intimidation, targeting, and the threat of losing their livelihoods if they dissent from government, they’ve lost their ability to freely choose their leaders, Gabbard said:

“How do We The People vote to choose a president when we don’t even have the freedom of engaging in a marketplace of ideas, or sharing our opinion, listening to other perspectives, assessing the information that we’ve gathered and making our own informed decision about who deserves the honor and responsibility of serving as commander-in-chief?

“We can’t. We can’t do this – as long as we live in a society where we’re surrounded by intimidation and fear of being targeted, being canceled, and having to self-censor so we don’t lose our jobs and our ability to provide for our families.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – Controversies have surrounded the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. Federal probes have been launched into the foundation over their lack of financial transparency.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors is stepping down as executive director over public outcry after it was revealed that she used charity funds to purchase multiple million-dollar mansions while BLM chapters across the nation never received the donations.

Besides splurging on herself, Cullors paid Trap Heals LLC, a company owned by Damon Turner, nearly $970,000 for “creative services” and to help “produce live events.” Turner is the father of Cullor’s child.

The foundation paid more than $840,000 to Cullors Protection LLC, a security firm owned by Patrisse’s brother, Paul Cullors, for providing “security services.”

Shalomyah Bowers, who previously served as deputy executive director of BLM Global Network Foundation, defended contracting Paul Cullors’ security firm because the foundation felt its protection could not be entrusted to former police officers.

The foundation invested $32 million in stocks from the $90 million of donations it received in 2020, which is expected to become an endowment to ensure the foundation’s work continues in the future.

Now Cullors has taken a break from her donation cash-funded lavish lifestyle to blast BLM’s donors, claiming the group is flooded with “white guilt money.”

Cullors made the remarks during MSNBC’s “Into America” podcast posted Monday afternoon.

She was speaking in response to a question from host Trymaine Lee, who had asked if the organization’s “tsunami of flooding” was shocking.

Lee asked Cullors if BLM had guardrails in place to ensure its cash was “being directed in the proper ways.”

“Yes, it was a major shock,” Cullors said on the podcast.

“It was also a lot of like, ‘Oh, wait, I did not see that coming.'”

“You know, contrary to what, you know, has been reported, much of the funding that came in was from individual donors,” Cullors continued.

“That was a lot of white guilt money,” she alleged.

“There’s a lot of white folks being like, ‘We just got to put the money.”

Cullors, however, did not directly answer if guardrails were in place for its spending.

She has maintained they did not misuse its funds.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Michael Flynn, the former Trump National Security Advisor, just filed a $50 million claim against the FBI and Justice Department for “malicious prosecution” over the Trump Russia collusion investigation.

Flynn filed it on Feb. 22. It names the DOJ, FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C., Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office, and the Executive Office of the President as defendants. The claim alleges former President Barack Obama and the FBI had a vendetta against him.

The filing says, “Of all of President Trump’s appointees, the Obama White House hated Flynn the most. The FBI began to express disdain for candidate Donald J. Trump and began to consider ways in which it could hamper Donald Trump as candidate or as President, were he to win the 2016 election.

“As part of these efforts, the FBI began to target Flynn. Flynn was no stranger to the FBI and its leadership, many of whom considered Flynn to be a personal enemy of the FBI and the success of their own FBI careers.

“During this meeting, the participants agreed to try to damage incoming President Trump and his new Administration, including by trying to prosecute Flynn, President-elect Trump’s incoming National Security Advisor, to cause him to resign as NSA, to cripple President Trump’s ability to implement national security and foreign affairs policy changes, and potentially to get Flynn to turn on President Trump.

“On or about November 10, 2016, two days after the Presidential Election, President-elect Trump met with President Obama in the Oval Office. During this meeting, President Obama warned President-elect Trump he had profound concerns about hiring Flynn for any sensitive, high-level national security positions.

“President Obama made this statement despite himself having appointed Flynn to the position of Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2012.

“In 2014, Flynn roiled FBI leadership by intervening on behalf of Robyn Gritz, a decorated counterterrorism agent who specifically named and accused Andrew McCabe and other top FBI officials of sexual discrimination and retaliation in her complaint.

“Flynn’s support of Gritz included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case, and an offer to testify on her behalf.

“His offer to testify made him a hostile witness against McCabe, who was soaring through the FBI leadership ranks.

“The FBI even sought to block Flynn’s support for the agent, asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn from becoming a witness.

“Flynn was the target of a politically motivated investigation and prosecution that had no merit when it began, no merit during its course, and no merit in the end when the charges were withdrawn by the DOJ and ultimately dismissed by the Court after Flynn received a full pardon.

“During that meritless and unlawful investigation and prosecution, Flynn was falsely and maliciously painted by the conspirators as a traitor to his nation who acted in concert with a foreign power, and the SCO even threatened Flynn’s son with prosecution unless Flynn were to plead guilty.

“The federal government’s targeting of a citizen for baseless criminal prosecution and eliciting a plea bargain through threatening of family members is outrageous conduct of the highest order. The fact that it was orchestrated and carried out at the highest levels of the FBI, DOJ, and White House makes it all the more outrageous.”

Flynn  is seeking “compensatory damages including but not limited to lost past and future earnings/revenue, emotional distress, lost opportunity to be President’s National Security Advisor, significant restraints of personal liberty, attorney fees/expenses and court costs in defending against malicious prosecution, abuse of process, false arrest.”

Flynn’s lawyer Jesse Binnall said if the claim is denied Flynn will sue:

“For years government bureaucrats and left wing agitators believed they could attack General Flynn with impunity. No more.

“If you wrongfully attack an American hero, then you should be held to account.

“This Federal Tort Claims Act Action is just the beginning of that accountability. Lt. General Michael Flynn will no longer be the pin cushion of the radical left.”
