(RepublicanWire.org) – The House passed a bill on Friday that bans certain semi-automatic assault weapons.

The legislation in a move toward removing the rights of law-abiding citizens and an infringement on the Second Amendment.

The bill narrowly passed with a 217-213 vote, according to Fox News.

The following two Republicans voted in favor of the legislation:

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Penn.

Rep. Chris Jacobs, R-N.Y.

The following five Democrats voted against the bill:

Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas

Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine

Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas

Rep. Kurt Schrader, D-Oreg.

Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wisc

All seven Representatives broke with typical party lines, the outlet reports.

“Today, our Democratic Majority will take up and pass the Assault Weapons Ban legislation: a crucial step in our ongoing fight against the deadly epidemic of gun violence in our nation,” Pelosi said, according to CNN.

“Today, House Democrats acted by unifying to pass an assault weapons ban to keep weapons of war off our streets, save lives in this country, and reduce crime in our communities,” Biden commented. “The Senate should move quickly to get this bill to my desk, and I will not stop fighting until it does.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – Hunter was discharged from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2014 after he tested positive for cocaine. Eleven days after, Hunter illegally purchased a firearm.

On a firearm transaction report, Hunter answered no when questioned if he was an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance.

Making a false statement on a federal criminal background check, known as ATF Form 4473, is a violation of federal law under Section 922(a)(6) of the U.S. criminal code.

It also could violate Section 922(g)(3), which prohibits a drug user from possessing a firearm with ammunition.

It was later discovered that Hunter’s lover Hallie, the widow of his late brother Beau Biden, threw the gun into a supermarket garbage can, which triggered a Secret Service, FBI, and Delaware State Police investigation.

In leaked text messages from 2019, Hunter said the FBI had gotten involved in the case.

“She stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens,” he said.

“Then told me it was my problem to deal with. Then when the police the FBI (and) the secret service came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids.”

In another chain of text messages, Hunter added: “I freaked when I saw it was missing 10 minutes after she took it and when she went back to get it after I scared the s*** out of her it was gone which led to the state police investigation of me. True story.”

Nobody was ever charged or arrested.

Now a new video has been leaked. In the video, a naked Hunter casually waves around a handgun and even points it at the camera while cavorting with a nude hooker in a swank hotel room.

The video of Hunter Biden holding the apparently illegally obtained weapon emerged amid the rash of mass shootings — and random gun violence in major cities  — that included 11 incidents on Saturday and Sunday alone that left at least 15 people dead and 61 injured across the U.S., data shows.

It also came just days after his dad called on Congress to pass new gun-control measures to stem the slaughter, declaring in a televised, primetime address last week that “the Second Amendment, like all other rights, is not absolute.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) slammed the apparent hypocrisy.

“Before proposing or passing any new federal gun legislation the Biden administration sought to enforce existing laws, regardless of who is violating them, even if that person is the president’s son.

“I’ve written oversight letters to the U.S. Secret Service, FBI and ATF regarding the incident involving Hunter’s gun dumped in a trash can behind a grocery store across from a high school in Delaware,” added Johnson, who’s been investigating the Biden family’s controversial overseas business dealings.

“Unsurprisingly, I have not gotten a satisfactory response from these agencies.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – On July 9, 1985, during debate over the Firearm Owners Protection Act (FOPA), Senate Judiciary Committee member Joe Biden (D-DE) sided with the NRA and argued criminals can get guns “with or without gun control.”

NBC News notes the Judiciary Committee concurred with the Republican majority in support of FOPA, then it passed on the Senate floor “by a lopsided 79-15.”

Biden voted for FOPA, which NBC News describes as a piece of legislation that “allowed dealers to sell rifles, shotguns and ammunition through the mail, and, eventually, the internet.”

They noted that FOPA also “limited federal inspections of firearms dealers while allowing them to sell guns at gun shows, which helped them grow in size and popularity. And it made it easier for private collectors to sell guns without obtaining a federal dealers’ license, which would play a role in what later became known as the ‘gun show loophole.’”

And prior to voting for voting for FOPA, Biden actually argued in defense of it.

The Congressional Record for the Senate on July 9, 1985, quotes Biden describing FOPA as a “balanced piece of legislation that protects the rights of private gun owners while not infringing on law enforcement’s ability to deal with those who misuse guns or violate laws.”

He added, “During my 12 and a half years as a member of this body, I have never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime. I am convinced that a criminal who wants a firearm can get one through illegal, nontraceable, unregistered sources, with or without gun control.”

On June 2, 2o22, President Biden pushed eight different gun controls, including an entire ban on a politically-defined category of firearms which Democrats call “assault weapons.”

Here are 9 dumb gun-control quotes from politicians and celebrities.

“The Second Amendment only protects the people who want all the guns they can have. The rest of us, we’ve got no Second Amendment. What are we supposed to do?” – Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-New York)

“What bothers me most about today is that we’re getting used 2 it. ENOUGH. 2nd amendment must go. Violence has 2 stop. Culture MUST change.” – Actor Jay Mohr

“Congressman Giffords’ life was saved and so many others’ when very valiant folks stood up to defend themselves and protect themselves, and they did it with ballpoint pens.” – Colorado State Sen. Jessie Ulibarri

“Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.” – Vice President Joe Biden

“The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans. A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the Second Amendment is.” – Actor Danny Glover

“We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines.” – Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California)

“If you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.” – Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colorado)

“It’s the kind of turn that happened to the great country of Germany, when Nazis came over and created tragic things, and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world’s going to really take care of us, in a very bad way.” – Singer Tony Bennett

“If there was special interests affecting police work, I believe that would be called corruption. So, if it has do with donating money versus a popular vote, I think we have a bigger problem in this country and somebody’s gotta wake up to that.” – Chicago Police Commissioner Garry McCarthy

(RepublicanWire.org) – President Joe Biden falsely claimed Monday that a cannon could not be legally purchased during America’s founding.

The president made the remarks during his announcement of a new regulation requiring a background check and serial number for manufactured firearms that are unregulated and untraceable. The regulation will also require manufacturers distributing the guns to be federally licensed.

“It’s going to sound bizarre, I support the Second Amendment. But from the very beginning, the Second Amendment didn’t say you can own any gun you want, as big as you want. You couldn’t buy a cannon when in fact the Second Amendment passed and certain people from the very beginning weren’t allowed to purchase guns. There’s nothing new, it’s just rational,” Biden claimed.

The president previously made that statement during his 2020 presidential campaign in a push for background checks on all gun sales and to place a ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines.

“From the very beginning you weren’t allowed to have certain weapons,” the then-presidential candidate told Wired Magazine. “You weren’t allowed to own a cannon during the Revolutionary War as an individual.” Historians told Politifact at the time that his statement was inaccurate.

The Washington Post gave his remarks four Pinocchios in a June 28, 2021, piece, saying there was no federal law about the types of guns citizens could own and that private citizens owned cannons at the time of the nation’s founding.

“Some readers might think this is a relatively inconsequential flub. But we disagree,” The Washington Post wrote. “Every U.S. president has a responsibility to get American history correct, especially when he’s using a supposed history lesson in service of a political objective. The president’s push for more gun restrictions is an important part of his political platform, so he undercuts his cause when he cites faux facts.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – A professor at the University of Miami School of Law has penned a proposal for a “redo” of the First and Second Amendments in a Boston Globe op-ed.

Mary Anne Franks, the Michael R. Klein Distinguished Scholar Chair at the university, wrote that the first two amendments, which include the rights to free speech, religion and bearing arms, “inspire religious-like fervor in many Americans” and that both are “deeply flawed in their respective conceptualizations.”

“These two amendments are highly susceptible to being read in isolation from the Constitution as a whole and from its commitments to equality and the collective good,” Franks wrote.

The professor claims that the two amendments “tend to be interpreted in aggressively individualistic ways that ignore the reality of conflict among competing rights.”

The result, according to Franks, is that “the most powerful members of society” benefit from these rights at the expense of vulnerable groups. Franks did not elaborate on individuals in these groups.

Franks proposed that both amendments should explicitly state “individual rights within the framework of ‘domestic tranquility’ and the ‘general welfare’ set out in the Constitution’s preamble.”

For the First Amendment, her proposed “redo” reads:

“Every person has the right to freedom of expression, association, peaceful assembly, and petition of the government for redress of grievances, consistent with the rights of others to the same and subject to responsibility for abuses. All conflicts of such rights shall be resolved in accordance with the principle of equality and dignity of all persons.”

For the Second Amendment, Franks said the concept of self-defense should be expanded to include “a meaningful right to bodily autonomy” – such as on reproductive matters. Her proposal reads:

“All people have the right to bodily autonomy consistent with the right of other people to the same, including the right to defend themselves against unlawful force and the right of self-determination in reproductive matters. The government shall take reasonable measures to protect the health and safety of the public as a whole.”

Joe Biden is a liar. This is obvious to most of us, but the Left and the media pretend he is someone to be trusted. But shockingly, the fact checkers at the Washington Post decided to do the right thing in regard to a weird, delusional statement the President* made about the Second Amendment.

“And I might add: The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,” Biden said during a speech on gun control. “You couldn’t buy a cannon!” Unfortunately, this is a lie.

“Everything in that statement is wrong,” says David Kopel, research director and Second Amendment project director at the Independence Institute. Koppel points out that at the point when the Second Amendment came into existence,  “there were no federal laws about the type of gun you could own, and no states limited the kind of gun you could own.”

Like all constitutional rights, there are limits. You can’t own a bazooka just like you can’t shout “fire” in a crowded movie theater. But at that point, there wasn’t any sort of regulation like that. WaPo face checker Glenn Kessler says that Biden’s lie discredits his own arguments for gun control. “Some readers might think this is a relatively inconsequential flub. But we disagree,” he says.

“Every U.S. president has a responsibility to get American history correct, especially when he’s using a supposed history lesson in service of a political objective,” Kessler adds. “The president’s push for more gun restrictions is an important part of his political platform, so he undercuts his cause when he cites faux facts.”

During the speech, Biden also threatened to send F-15s after gun owners who might one day choose to take up arms to protect their liberties. “What’s happened is that there have never been — if you wanted or if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,” Biden told the crowd.

Joe Biden is a delusional shell of a man whose brain functions are quickly shutting down, but let’s not forget that he was a liar long before this. Watch his speech below:
