Newsom Isn’t Living Up To His Promise…

(RepublicanWire.org) – Appearing with guest-host Gregg Jarrett on Fox News’s “Hannity” on Wednesday, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond noted that Border Patrol can only detain the asylum seekers for so long before they are forced to release them into the interior of the United States.

“These people are bewildered,” Desmond said of the migrants. “They don’t have any money for tickets or means of figuring out a system to get to family or get in touch with their loved ones. You know, they’re just dropping them off.”

“‘Tis the season, there’s no room at the inn,” he said, referring to the county’s already full shelters.

“We’re at max capacity,” Desmond said. “And so Border Patrol is just dropping people at transit centers and saying, ‘see you later, good luck.’”

In his inauguration speech in January 2019, California Governor Gavin Newsom vowed that the Golden State would be a “sanctuary to all who seek it.”

“We will not have one house for the rich and one for the poor, or one for the native-born and one for the rest,” he grandly stated. “We will build one house for one California.”

But according to Desmond, Newsom isn’t living up to that promise.

“Governor Newsom has invited them all. So we got them,” he said. “But we’re not getting any help from the state government either. So we’re at capacity, and it’s just terrible for these people.”

Even Newsom knows he can’t deliver.

As BizPac Review reported, Newsom took a trip to the state’s border with Mexico and stated that California’s current system of coping with the swarm of migrants his own progressive policies have encouraged will “break” when Title 42 — a policy implemented by former President Donald Trump that requires asylum seekers to stay in Mexico while their case is being reviewed — is lifted.

Sanctuary Cities Rebuff On Their Promise And Dem. Gloria Romero Is Furious…

(RepublicanWire.org) – Gloria Romero is a Latina Democrat from California, and the former Majority Leader of the California State Senate. Romero called out the “smug liberals” in her defense of the Republican Florida governor for sending the migrants to the island in the state of Massachusetts. 

“I am telling you that if the Democratic party thinks that Latinos are outraged by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard – they are dead wrong!

More than two million undocumented immigrants will be arrested trying to cross into the U.S. in 2022.

And Democrats don’t bat an eye.

But fly 50 migrants to one of the wealthiest places in America, spotted with multi-million dollar mansions, surrounded by the mega-yachts of the rich and famous and Democrats lose their minds?

What a joke!” It was Reported.

Romero points out that liberals want open borders until the border comes to their town. They never worry about the consequences of their policies when the problem is far away in the border towns along the U.S./Mexico border. 

She applauded Governor DeSantis in Florida, Governor Abbott in Texas, and Governor Ducey in Arizona for sending a powerful message. These governors are helping the Democrats do their “fair share” in dealing with our broken immigration system.

While CNN is calling what DeSantis did a stunt, all of America can see how the residents of Martha’s Vineyard reacted to the arrival of 50 illegal immigrants. The Massachusetts governor called in the National Guard to deal with what they considered a “humanitarian crisis.” 

The migrants were taken by bus from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on the first part of their journey to Joint Base Cape Cod. The signage on the island may say how welcoming they are, but their actions speak otherwise.

Romera goes on to point out that the “Latino agenda is the American agenda.” She highlights the fact that many of the Latino communities along the southern border are rural and poor but are expected to shoulder the burden of the cost of having thousands of migrants flood their towns.

While critics on the left have compared the Republican strategy to human trafficking and “kidnapping,” migrants involved have consented to travel to “sanctuary cities” that promise more care and resources for them.

Despite “sanctuary cities” scrambling to move these migrants out, these cities haven’t changed their stances on immigration. As they sent the newly arrived migrants away, officials in Martha’s Vineyard claimed that the foreigners had “enriched” the island, in line with their original perspectives.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot Has Meltdown…

(RepublicanWire.org) – Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot has suffered a meltdown after Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent a busload of migrants from the Souther Border to her so-called “sanctuary city.”

Gov. Abbott announced Thursday that the first group of migrants has been bused to Chicago, Illinois from Texas.

Abbott has already sent several buses of migrants to New York City and Washington D.C., which also claim to be “sanctuary cities” despite not being directly impacted by the border crisis.

The migrants were dropped off at Union Station last night.

Abbott says that in addition to D.C. and NYC, Chicago will now be a drop-off location for the busing strategy.

The move is part of his strategy to hold Democrat President Joe Biden to account for his open border policies.

“President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans—and Americans—at risk and is overwhelming our communities,” Abbott said.

“To continue providing much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities Washington, D.C., and New York City as an additional drop-off location.

“Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.”

“In April, Governor Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to charter buses to transport migrants from Texas to Washington, D.C. Earlier this month, the Governor added New York City as a second drop-off location.

“Since beginning this busing strategy in the spring, thousands of migrants have been transported to these sanctuary cities while providing much-needed relief to Texas’ overwhelmed border communities.

“With its “Welcoming City Ordinance” making it a sanctuary city, Chicago will not deny city services to individuals based on their immigration status.

“The city also does not require local police to cooperate with federal immigration authorities,” the statement said.

In response, the mayor, who recently refused to do interviews with white reporters, called Abbott a “racist.”

Lightfoot’s deputy director of communications, Ryan Johnson, said in a statement:

“As a city, we are doing everything we can to ensure these immigrants and their families can receive shelter, food, and most importantly protection.

“This is not new; Chicago welcomes hundreds of migrants every year to our city and provides much-needed assistance.

“Unfortunately, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is without any shame or humanity.

“But ever since he put these racist practices of expulsion in place, we have been working with our community partners to ready the city to receive these individuals.

“Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect.

“As a city, we are doing everything we can to ensure these immigrants and their families can receive shelter, food, and most importantly protection,” he said.

“We know that racism, discrimination, and human cruelty have played a pivotal role in how immigrants are received within our borders, and we are still working to recover from the previous presidential administration, which encouraged this behavior.”
