(RepublicanWire.org) – In February, Fox News host Tucker Carlson had confirmed that he and his team of producers had been granted access to over 44,000 hours of footage from January 6th by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Carlson claimed that the footage they’ve seen already contradicts the story that has been told for the past two years about the events that occurred on that day in Washington D.C. and that excerpts from the footage would begin airing in the coming weeks.

Now, Carlson said that the footage will be released next week. Carlson stated that there was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret, saying, “We think people, in a democracy, should be allowed to see what their government is doing, and get as much evidence as they can.”

“They are lying, and we know that because we’ve been looking at the tape.” Carlson continued, “We’re going to bring you information on the tape and some of it next week, and we think it’s going to be really really interesting.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – On Wednesday, far-left Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar had melt down during a press conference after being stripped of her committee’s by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. During her meltdown, she bizarrely claimed that removing her from these committees’ is a “threat to national security”.

“In modern American history, the punishment of stripping member of Congress of their committee assignments has been reserved for only the most egregious wrongdoings: Those convicted or indicted on corruption, those who have engaged in bribery, sexual misconduct, encouraged violence, or other grave charges,” she said, melting down.

“Kevin McCarthy⁩‘s purely partisan move to strip us from our committee is not only a political stunt, but also a blow to the integrity of our democratic institutions, and a threat to our national security,” she falsely stated. “We are thankful to leader Jeffries and house Democrats and even some courageous Republicans for standing with us if McCarthy wants to denigrate the integrity of the house and its committees, we will always stand up to these efforts,” she concluded.

McCarthy’s reason for removing Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, is because of her “repeated antisemitic and anti-American remarks.”  In 2019, the Somalia-born Omar referred to 9/11 as an incident in which “some people did something.”

On twitter, Clayton Keirns shared a video of Omar, “gleefully recounting how a professor said the words Al Qaeda.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – Kevin McCarthy thanked former president Donald Trump early Saturday morning for helping him finally secure a win in the 15th round of voting for the House speakership.

“I do want to especially thank President Trump,” McCarthy told reporters. “I don’t think anybody should doubt his influence. He was with me from the beginning … he was all in.”

“He would call me, and he would call others. He really was — I was just talking to him tonight — helping get those final votes,” McCarthy said. “What he’s really saying, really, for the party and the country, that we have to come together. We have to focus on the economy. We’ve got to focus, make our borders secure. We gotta do so much work to do, and he was a great influence to make that all happen. So, thank you President Trump.”

McCarthy at last clinched the speakership just after midnight Saturday after an all-week marathon of ballots and negotiations and a heated final stretch on the House floor.

Representatives Andy Biggs and Eli Crane of Arizona, Bob Good of Virginia, and Matt Rosendale of Montana all voted “present” in the 15th round, helping to lower the threshold of votes needed to win. Representatives Matt Gaetz of Florida and Lauren Boebert of Colorado voted “present” in both the 14th and 15th rounds as well. McCarthy narrowly won with 216 votes, having needed 215. Democrat Hakeem Jeffries (D., N.Y.) earned 212.

Trump spoke to GOP holdouts throughout the voting process. He attempted to gin up support for McCarthy on Wednesday.

“[I]t’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA, THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE ‘HOUSE’ TWICE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

However, Boebert suggested on the House floor on Wednesday that Trump should tell McCarthy, “Sir, you do not have the votes, and it’s time to withdraw.”

Trump spoke to holdouts over the phone as the 15th round of voting came down to the wire. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.,) was seen passing a phone to Rosendale with Trump on the line shortly before the Montana Republican switched his vote to “present” after rounds of voting for other candidates besides McCarthy. Trump also reportedly spoke to Biggs and Gaetz before the pair changed their own votes to “present,” according to ABC News.

Trump responded to McCarthy’s comments on Saturday saying, “Thank you, Kevin. It was my great honor!”

“The ‘Speaker’ selection process, as crazy as it may seem, has made it all much bigger and more important than if done the more conventional way,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “Congratulations to Kevin McCarthy and our GREAT Republican Party!”

(RepublicanWire.org) – Incoming GOP congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (FL) said Friday that she was threatened by a sitting House member to commit to backing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for speaker.

“I got a very inappropriate phone call,” Luna told Steve Bannon in an interview. “Another member had called me basically to whip votes for the speaker’s race and ultimately ended up threatening me.”

Luna, who is set to represent Florida’s 13th District, said it was a female member who issued the threat.

“I let that female member know that I wasn’t going to basically be threatened,” she said. “I don’t think I need to put that person’s name out there because I think that they are probably embarrassed about doing that.”

McCarthy’s office did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.

Luna does not think incidents such as hers are uncommon in Congress, she said.

“I’m not going to be bullied,” the incoming congresswoman said. “If you are going to negotiate in good faith, negotiate in good faith, but don’t resort to threatening people.”

She expects some anger when she arrives in Washington, D.C., she said.

“I’m doing this not because I want to go hang out in D.C.,” the Floridian said. “I’m doing this because it needs to be done right now.”

Luna lauded a few of her colleagues but made it clear that her vote for speaker Tuesday is hers alone.

“I will not be voting for anyone that does not embrace that motion to vacate the chair, and I don’t care who that is,” she said. McCarthy has since made the concession of lowering the threshold for a motion to vacate.

Several other Republicans share Luna’s ambivalence to electing a speaker who would not lower the threshold on a motion to vacate the seat.

McCarthy has tried to stymie such sentiment regarding his potential election.

“Just as the Speaker is elected by the whole body, we will restore the ability for any 5 members of the majority party to initiate a vote to remove the Speaker if so warranted,” he wrote in a letter to colleagues Sunday.

(RepublicanWire.org) – The 51 former intelligence officials who wrote a letter claiming to be “suspicious” that Hunter Biden’s laptop might be Russian disinformation, will be subpoenaed to testify before Congress.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the California Republican whom many believe will be the next House speaker said Saturday on Fox News’ “One Nation” that he planned to force those former officials to testify before Congress.

“Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong, was Russian collusion — many of them have a security clearance. We’re going to bring them before committee, I’m going to have them have a hearing, bring them and subpoena them before committee. Why did they sign it? Why did they lie to the American public? A Clapper, a Brennan — why did you use the reputation that America was able to give to you more information, but use it for a political purpose and lie to the American public? It’s exactly what Adam Schiff has done to us, and this has got to stop.”

The letter from the intel agents stated:

“We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case,” the letter also stated.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki cited the letter, as did Joe Biden himself during the final presidential debate, according to Fox News.

What these 51 former intelligence workers did was confirm the damning nature of the laptop — they made Biden’s position worse, not better, by saying it was so bad that it practically had to be propaganda.

The laptop and its contents are authentic. Even The New York Times and CBS have had to accept that fact.

(RepublicanWire.org) – GOP leader Kevin McCarthy ripped House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for blaming the soaring U.S. gas prices on oil companies.

“Who do they blame next?” the California Republican said. “Americans aren’t buying these excuses, but unfortunately they are paying for them.”

Pelosi said gas companies should “boost production” during the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“There are 6,000 permits out there where people could drill, the industry can drill,” Pelosi said at a news conference last Thursday. “They don’t need to be upending our initiatives to save the planet from the climate crisis; if they want to drill, they have places to drill. Use it or lose it. Let somebody else drill there.”

McCarthy was asked if there is merit to the Democrats’ argument that oil and gas companies are allowing prices to remain high even though the price of a barrel of oil has dropped below $100.

“It just begins to go to show how they don’t understand the industry,” he replied. “Things don’t change overnight. You’ve got to produce the oil. You sell the oil. You have to refine the oil and you pass it through.”

McCarthy told reporters that leading Democrats have been saying since the 2020 election cycle that they wanted to stop the production of oil on public lands.

“Joe Biden, in his campaign for president, said he would eliminate the production of crude,” he said. “You then had on the very first day when he got into office ending a pipeline. So you add transportation to that, and when inflation goes up, if you can’t move it by a pipeline, you’ve got to put it in a truck, or you’ve got to put it in a tanker if you bring it from somewhere else — that costs a lot more, you can’t get things off the port, so they raised the price themselves.”

“So now they want to turn around and blame them,” he said. “When you shut in a well, you can’t turn it right back on, it’s not a light switch.”

“Do you understand the market? You get a lease, it takes you 3 to 7 years to develop it, and there’s no guarantee there’s oil or gas underneath it,” he said.

“Then oil companies go to their banker to try to get the capital to go, but the majority committee is going after the capital not to loan you the money,” he said. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”

“American natural gas is 41% cleaner than Russian natural gas,” he said. “They [Democrats] made their platform to put the oil industry out of business in America and increase the business of Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.”

Even some Democrats have sided with Republicans on this.

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin said the oil industry needs needs “signals” from the Biden Administration that they will support oil and gas development and production on federal and non-federal lands. He wants Biden to end the pause on new drilling leases.

“It is well past time for the pause to end — for well drillers and the administration to move forward,” Manchin said. “So yes, I’m calling on the industry — and the shareholders — to invest and put production before profits. We need you to ramp up on those existing leases and with those existing permits because that’s the fastest thing we can do. But the industry also needs signals from the administration that they will support oil and gas development and production.”

Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester shared a similar view on increasing oil production in the U.S.

“Our best response to rising gas prices should be increasing our domestic energy production from all sources and increasing trade with our allies, not buying from dictators who are actively invading sovereign nations,” he said.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Republicans have been predicting a “red wave” for the 2022 midterm elections since late last year. And with President Joe Biden’s approval ratings falling, the GOP has high hopes for flipping the House.

It also helps that many Democrats will be leaving – via retirement or pursuit of other positions – so left-wing majority in the House is in a very tenuous position.

And if Republicans succeed, they’ve got a “day one blitz” that could take Washington by storm.

The GOP have talked about what they intend to do if they reclaim power in D.C., and this begins with turning the House back to Red. They also hope to flip the Senate, where they only need a net gain of 1 seat.

And if they can claw back some of that lost control, Republicans will have a surprise ready for the President.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy wrote out a detailed list of “prime targets” for The Daily Caller, and it shows they’re going after POTUS in a variety of critical categories.

This includes everything from Afghanistan and the pandemic to the Department of Education and Big Tech. If Democrats can’t fend off the GOP charge, these probes will kick off immediately.

That’s when we might start to see plenty of fireworks on Capitol Hill, especially because these investigations tackle most of the hottest topics of the day.

Via The Daily Caller:Biden’s DOJ, Department of Education and COVID policies are prime targets for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy should Republicans retake the House in the midterms this November, according to a sprawling list of priorities his office sent exclusively to the Daily Caller.

‘We have already sent preservation notices and document requests and will be ready on day one to use the various tools at our disposal to get the answers Americans are demanding.’

Included in the plan are the “politically motivated actions by the DOJ” and attacking the Department of Education’s labeling of parents as “domestic terrorists,” which remains a sore point among American mothers and fathers.

Then there’s the border crisis, which hasn’t improved according to recent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statistics regarding encounters and arrests.

McCarthy makes it clear that Republicans will be examining many of the most critical issues:

Biden protects liberal activists but turns a blind eye to rising crime.

Biden has opened the border, supported mandates that have hurt students in the classroom and parental rights, allowed Big Tech to silence conservatives, and has overseen leaks of private information on American citizens under his watch.

His office also mentioned the “botched Afghanistan withdrawal,” as well as “attacking free speech, going woke, and cozying up to China.”

McCarthy ripped the President for vowing to unite the country, but instead “has done everything in his power to divide Americans.” This is a common complaint among right-wing voters according to polls.

Lastly, the controversial origins of COVID are also on the chopping block — this all means the GOP will have a full dance card if they retake the House.

They’ve been promising action for months now, and millions of Republican voters are hoping that it actually happens. They’ve been frustrated by an ailing economy and Biden’s leadership in general, it seems.

The first step, however, is to flip the House (and the Senate, if possible). If this happens, Republicans will finally have some chips to play with in D.C.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Joe Biden is set to deliver his first State of the Union address but there might be a twist.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy reportedly told colleagues this week that each party will only be allowed to invite just 25 House members to attend Biden’s address in person.

“The president is slated to deliver his first State of the Union address on March 1; attendance for his address to a Joint Session of Congress last April also was capped,” Axios reported.

“A Pelosi spokesman said no final decisions have been made. The spokesman said the Speaker’s Office ‘will work closely with the Office of the Attending Physician to accommodate as many Member requests as safely possible.’ Biden’s Joint Address last year was attended by 55 House Democrats and 25 House Republicans, along with 35 Senate Democrats and 25 Senate Republicans, according to a Capitol official,” the report continued.

This is an anonymously sourced report relaying what McCarthy was told, but Pelosi’s office did not actually deny it, but rather said they would speak with the attending physician to discuss protocols.

This comes on the heels of a new survey finding that half of those surveyed by Rasmussen think Biden should be impeached from office.

And what’s more, almost as many surveyed think that’s what Republicans will do if the party wins back control of the House in the 2022 midterms.

“A new national telephone and an online survey by Rasmussen Reports and The National Pulse finds that 50% of Likely U.S. voters support the impeachment of Biden, including 33% who Strongly Support it. Forty-five percent (45%) are opposed to impeaching Biden, including 33% who Strongly Oppose it,” Rasmussen reported.

If Biden were to get impeached, he would face trial in what could be a GOP-controlled Senate after the midterms.

The survey comes amid a dramatic shift in approval ratings for both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris over their first year in office.

In early December, for instance, an I&I/TIPP poll found that barely one-third of Democrat respondents want Biden to run for reelection.

The survey asked respondents, “Who do you want to see run for president on the Democratic ticket in 2024?”

The report added:

Overall, 22 percent said Biden, followed by 12 percent who said Vice President Kamala Harris, four percent who said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and three percent who said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-MA), and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. The remaining potential candidates garnered two percent support or less. Thirty-one percent, overall, say they are unsure.

Even among Democrats, specifically, Biden fails to see overwhelming support, as only 37 percent say they want to see him run again on the Democrat ticket in the next presidential election cycle. Another 16 percent of Democrats chose Harris, and 13 percent, overall, remain unsure.

37 percent of independents say they are “not sure” who they want to see run on the Democrat ticket, but only eight percent say it should be Biden.

“But only 8% of independents and other non-major party voters also want Biden back as Democratic standard-bearer,” TIPP noted.

“And 10% want Harris, not Biden. For Biden, that suggests near non-existent support among independents, the swing voters who make up a third or more of all those who go to the polls each election,” the survey added.

“Even Democrats seem less than enthused about Biden holding the top spot. Just 37% want him there,” the poll revealed.

“And only 16% give Harris the nod as presidential standard-bearer, alarming given that Vice President Harris is next in line to be president should Biden not complete his term in office,” the survey continued.

On Saturday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy absolutely hammered Biden and Harris over their administration’s disaster at the border. Biden has invited illegals to swarm into our country. This has allowed cartels to expand their operations — especially in human trafficking — as well as made cities and towns along the border less safe for Americans.

During an appearance on “Fox and Friends,” McCarthy laid the smack down on Harris for spending more time at the airport than she did at the border after President Trump shamed her into showing up for a visit:

“Well, it seems like she spent more time at the airport than she spent at the border. But to literally say that they inherited a problem and they’ve made progress? None of those facts play out. You have a border that was secure. You had a new administration that changed executive orders and invited people to rush the border illegally. Now in May, we had 180,000 encounters. That was a 21-year record of illegal crossings. For the last three months, it has increased.”

“The time that the president asked the vice president to take on this job, half a million illegal individuals came across this border when counted,” McCarthy adds. “Those are the people we were able to encounter. I think there’s going to be more than a million individuals that get through here that we don’t encounter from more than 160 countries. And what’s worse, Pete, you would understand this — we are catching people who are on the terrorist watch list from Yemen.”

The simple truth is that neither Biden nor Harris cares about the border. They want to contribute more to the chaos our nation is facing. You can expect them to continue to ignore their growing border disaster, For this reason we need to show up in force in 2022 and take back control of Congress — then the White House in 2024. Watch the interview below:

The election in 2022 is an important one for many reasons. If we take back the House and Senate, we can oppose Joe Biden’s dangerous and demented agenda. We can stop liberals from pushing through whatever laws they want. We can alto kick Ilhan Omar off the House Foreign Affairs Committe, says House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Ilhan Omar has long drawn controversy for her anti-Semitic and other remarks. Omar has compared Israel to terrorist organizations (and received backlash even from her own party for doing so). She’s compared reasonable, common-sense voting laws to “Apartheid.” She’s even been praised by the Muslim Brotherhood for her hatred of Israel. Ilhan Omar does not belong in government at all, much less the House Foreign Affairs Committee. But McCarthy vows to fix at least that latter part after we retake the House in 2022.

“I will promise you this: If we are fortunate enough to have the majority, Omar would not be serving on Foreign Affairs [Committee] or anybody that has an anti-semitic, anti-American view,” McCarthy said on Fox News.

This doesn’t mean nothing will be done about Omar in the mean time. There is talk of a resolution to remove her from her position immediately. Unfortunately, there is a good chance it will fail with Democrats in charge.

We have a lot to worry about in the time leading up to 2022 — and the time after. But Ilhan Omar’s brazen and anti-Semitic remarks are not only offensive, but they put America and Americans at risk. It’s unclear (and unlikely) whether she will be removed from the important position she is disgracing anytime soon, but we must retake the House in 2022 to ensure that it can happen after that.
