(RepublicanWire.org) – ABC’s Jonathan Karl on Sunday confronted White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the $740 billion Bidenflation scam bill.

“But let me ask you, it’s called the Inflation Reduction Act, but the Congressional Budget Office which is nonpartisan said that there would be a negligible impact on inflation this year and barely impact inflation at all next year, isn’t it almost Orwellian?” Jon Karl queried.

“I appreciate the question. We’ve actually addressed this with the CBO,” Jean-Pierre continued. “It was the top line number; there’s more in there that shows it will have the money from– remember how we’re doing this, too, it’s making sure that billionaires in corporate America are paying their fair share, making sure that the tax code is a little bit more fair, and so when you do that, put it in its totality, you will see that it will bring down, lower the deficit, which will help fight inflation.”

The $740 billion Bidenflation scam just passed through both chambers of Congress.

Not one Republican voted for the bill.

More than 230 economists wrote letters to Congress warning that the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ will make inflation worse.

The bill will allocate $369 million for ‘green energy’ – it’s actually just one big Marxist slush fund.

The bill will add 87,000 new IRS employees to harass and abuse working Americans and their political opponents.

The CBO and Penn Wharton Budge Model confirmed that the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ will not reduce inflation.

(RepublicanWire.org) – President Joe Biden has been a long-time critic of his predecessor’s tax cuts. However, even Biden can’t always ignore reality. As he announced his budget plan on Monday, he was forced to put his pride aside and finally admit that Trump’s taxation policy actually worked.

On March 28, Biden outlined his new budget proposals, which call for a massive $5.8 trillion in government spending. He blasted former President Donald Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, but as he was discussing the plans, he claimed it had led to tax cuts and mostly helped the rich. Biden has made this claim before, and attracted a lot of criticism for it – even the notoriously liberal Washington Post awarded him four Pinocchios for his “clearly false” remarks about the tax cuts – but this time the numbers he went on to cite made clear that Trump got it right.

In 2017, before Trump’s cuts took effect, the federal government collected $3.3 trillion in taxes. By 2021, with the cuts still in place, that had risen to over $4 trillion despite the slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; for 2022, it’s expected to be a record-breaking $4.5 trillion. As President Reagan showed in the 1980s, cutting taxes in the right places stimulates economic growth and increases tax revenue. Unfortunately, it isn’t increasing it enough to pay for Biden’s spending plans, but that’s hardly Trump’s fault.

(RepublicanWire.org) – At a time of historically high debt, President Biden spent the first year of his presidency pushing for $6 trillion worth of new spending on a host of liberal priorities, of which thanks to Senator Joe Manchin he was limited to about $2.5 trillion. Now, in proposing another massive budget, Biden is trying to portray himself as some sort of legendary fiscal hawk.

Do not believe him.

In unveiling the Biden budget this week, the White House released a “fact sheet” that was filled with misleading claims.

Up front, the administration makes the claim that “the deficit fell last year — by around $300 billion.” What this leaves out is that it only fell relative to the historically high levels in 2020, when the Covid pandemic hit, and that deficits are higher than they were projected to be when Biden took office.

Specifically, in February 2021, weeks after he was sworn in, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that deficits would be about $2.3 trillion during the fiscal year that ended on September 30. But under Biden, the actual deficit for the year came in at nearly $2.8 trillion. Put another way, even though the deficit declined relative to historically elevated 2020 levels, it actually ended up about $500 billion higher than what CBO was expecting before any Biden spending policies went into effect. CBO has noted that the 2021 deficit was “nearly triple the shortfall incurred in 2019.”

The Biden budget document also boasts that, “as our historic economic and labor market recovery continues, the President’s Budget projects that the deficit in 2022 will be more than $1.3 trillion lower than last year’s—the largest ever one-year decline in our country’s history.”

Again, this is deceptive. Before any of Biden’s policies went into effect, the CBO anticipated that deficits would decrease as the country emerged from the pandemic. In the same February 2021 report, CBO projected a $1 trillion deficit for 2022. But the Biden budget projects a deficit of $1.4 trillion — or 40 percent higher than the trajectory before he came it into office — and then touts it as an incredible achievement.

The document also asserts, “The Budget improves our country’s long-term fiscal outlook while also delivering on the ambitious agenda the President laid out in his State of the Union address.”

This is another ludicrous claim.

When discussing the long-term fiscal outlook, what makes the most sense is to talk about overall federal debt as a share of the economy. The debt-to-GDP ratio has been on an upward trajectory for decades because of a combination of fiscal mismanagement by both political parties combining with the retirement of the Baby Boomers and health-care inflation. In 2019, just before the pandemic, debt had risen to 79 percent of GDP. Due to the surge in pandemic-related spending and the drop in revenue from a lockdown-battered economy, debt surged past 100 percent for the first time since World War II. While it is common for debt to rise during national emergencies, in the case of World War II, debt levels receded at the conclusion of the war. But the Biden budget does not anticipate that at all.

In fact, the Biden budget expects debt to grow from 102 percent of domestic product in 2022 to nearly 107 percent by the end of the budget window in 2032. That would exceed the World War II record.

Though Biden does claim $1 trillion in deficit reduction as a result of trillions in proposed tax increases, his budget relies on what the Manhattan Institute’s Brian Riedl has flagged as a “magic asterisk.”

The Budget includes a reserve for legislation that reduces costs, expands productive capacity, and reforms the tax system. While the President is committed to reducing the deficit with this legislation, this allowance is shown as deficit neutral to be conservative for purposes of the budget totals. Because discussions with Congress continue, the Budget does not break down the reserve among specific policies or between revenues and outlays.

Translated, what this means is that Biden is not including the deficit effects of his trillions of dollars of proposed spending through Build Back Better. And remember, the administration is also claiming that “the Budget improves our country’s long-term fiscal outlook while also delivering on the ambitious agenda the President laid out in his State of the Union address.” In other words, he’s still pushing the same spendthrift policies, but his budget counts them as having no effect on the budget. The idea that these were excluded because they are subject to congressional action is farcical given that the same logic would apply to all the other policies in the budget.

The bottom line is that Biden’s reckless agenda has only exacerbated our already terrible fiscal situation, and the only reason we aren’t in even worse shape is that the centerpiece of his agenda has been blocked.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Joe Biden has been reluctant to support the military and fund it the way it needs to be done. He has taken the position of passiveness to avoid dealing with people and their ideas of funding the military. But of all the groups he has to deal with. They would like to see the president defund the military so America is weakened so invaders can attack and take what they want.

But their hopes and dreams are crashing down around them because the new spending budget for the military has come out, and it’s a somewhat more prominent figure. Senators on both sides of the political fence support the military budget except those that would identify themselves as progressive.

Joe Biden had initially proposed a $715 billion budget. But the war pressed by Russia has increased by nearly $10 billion. Some of that increase would be marked as aid sent to Ukraine to help them fight against the invading terrorists.

Politico reported that “The deal to supercharge the Pentagon budget is partly thanks to a $25 billion boost to the administration’s defense proposal that Democrats and Republicans endorsed in military policy legislation Biden signed in December. But congressional leaders must still pass legislation to fund the Pentagon, and their negotiations could produce Pentagon spending even higher than the $740 billion they agreed to months ago.”

The progressives that exist under the Democrat flag all hate America. They would love to see the nation become a failed socialist state ruled by a liberal dictator. They need a weakened defense budget, so when the time comes to challenge the status quo of America, there is not enough money to fund defense measures.

Donald Trump was big on funding the military. He knew the threats that existed outside of the nation’s border. But Joe Biden is so clueless that for him, even to propose a defense budget is beyond expectation. But he is not the final say as to the budget amount. Congress will have the final say as they work out all the details.

John Yarmouth is the House Budget Committee Chair. He was opposed to the amount of increase when Donald Trump was in office. But he is supportive of this budget since it is coming from a Democrat. He stated, “It’s going to be tough. I don’t like it. I think we’re spending far too much anyways. But I think it’s a harder political vote now to vote against significant increases in defense.”

The Russian war can still present problems for western nations should the war expand to other regions. The United States will need to be ready to engage in war should the need come up.

The Democrats may be in control of the political landscape, but they are far from being able to work the system. The progressives wanted to keep the budget the same and, if they could justify the thought, even shrink it and make cuts.

The nation is sick and tired of inflated budgets. For the time being, it looks as if the Democrats have seen their doom should they keep pressing for unwarranted spending. But a world in war is cause for an increased military budget. The progressives may not like the idea, but they enjoy the freedoms that define America. Under socialist rule, many of the progressives would have been arrested for being so vocal about things.

The Republicans already know and realize that a strong America is what the world needs. The United States is the sole force to keep more considerable powers under control. But there must be a president willing to yield that power and use it to defend the oppressed. Joe Biden is not that person. He is a weak man that cannot stand up to a few world leaders wanting to terrorize their neighbors. The progressives may not like the spending bill for the military. But they certainly love the freedoms the soldiers give their lives to defend.
