Liberal media are reacting to Sen. Joe Manchin’s, D-W.Va., announcement that he’s a conclusive “no” on President Biden’s Build Back Better plan.

“I’ve always said this, Bret: if I can’t go home and explain to the people of West Virginia I can’t vote for it,” Manchin told “Fox News Sunday” guest host Bret Baier Sunday. “And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can’t. I’ve tried everything humanly possible. I can’t get there.”

“You’re done? This is a no?” Baier replied.https://c5ac73496404064bf23143c3042d5a88.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html

“This is a no on this piece of legislation,” Manchin said. “I have tried everything I know to do.”

The senator said that the rise in inflation, the national debt and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic helped him come to his decision on the massive social spending bill.

“My Democratic colleagues in Washington are determined to dramatically reshape our society in a way that leaves our country even more vulnerable to the threats we face,” Manchin said in a statement following his announcement. “I cannot take that risk.”

A couple of Manchin’s colleagues took turns ripping him on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., started by accusing Manchin of lacking the courage to stand up to pharmaceutical companies, and an outraged Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., said the West Virginia senator was obstructing the president’s agenda.

Several media pundits failed to hide their disappointment as well.

“A lot to process on the Manchin news but, from a substantive standpoint, it’s just objectively devastating for the planet,” Politico’s Sam Stein tweeted. “The last best chance at climate change legislation is gone.”

Social media users noted Stein was acting more like a partisan than a journalist.

It was a similar story on Sunday morning news shows, as viewers who tuned in to ABC’s “This Week” heard audible sighs from the guests at the roundtable after Jonathan Karl announced the breaking news. Their reaction again raised questions about the press’ supposed objectivity.

But Sunday’s media reaction was no surprise to analysts who have been following the treatment of Manchin in the lead-up to his decision on Build Back Better. CNN analyst and former Democratic staffer Kirsten Powers told Manchin it would “be better off” if he left the Democratic Party last week. And ABC News raised eyebrows Friday after sharing an AP story republished on its site, tweeting, “A single senator is about to seriously set back an entire presidential agenda.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott showed off the first part of his state-made border wall Saturday, which he labeled a sharp rebuke of Biden’s “failure to do his job.”

Abbott authorized the building of the wall six months ago, and then authorized $3 billion in funding for the Texas Facilities Commission to bolster the building effort. Abbott stressed that the wall stands on either state land or land that private owners agreed to hand over for the wall.

“Texas is taking what truly is unprecedented action: A state to build a wall on our border, to safeguard the sovereignty of our state and of our nation,” Abbott said during Saturday’s press conference.

“Already this year there have been over 1.2 million people apprehended coming over the border illegally,” Abbott said, noting the number did not include those who entered undetected.

He also raised the fentanyl crisis, saying that state authorities have seized “enough fentanyl to kill every man, woman and child in Texas, California, New York, Illinois, and Florida combined.”

Texas has therefore deemed it necessary to take action and establish a border wall, which is composed of steel bars. A TFC official said the materials and labor will come from local sources, including the steel used to produce the bars.

Abbott pointed to billions of dollars worth of material from the federal wall project that remains unused, which he said the Biden administration has not agreed to turn over to help with the project.

Abbott described the wall as just one part of a “multi-pronged” strategy, which will include efforts by the National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to apprehend individuals who illegally cross the border. Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush praised the speed with which building started and progressed, pledging to continue that pace.

To demonstrate the building capability, Abbott ordered a section of the wall raised after the press conference – a process that took only around 10 minutes as a crane slowly erected the wall segment, then workers secured it at the base.

“Once it is completed, it will have multiple detection devices,” Abbott said, adding that the additional detection will allow swift apprehension.

“People we apprehend will be charged with trespassing to the state of Texas, and those charges will lead to them going to jail,” he explained. Texas has researched a “pre-defense” for any criminal proceedings to ensure that “all procedures will be followed.”

Abbott also directed Americans to a website where they can donate to the border wall funding, which he said has already totaled more than $54 million in private donations.

Here is the link to donate if anyone is interested – https://feepay.txapps.texas.gov/oog/texas-border-wall/

(RepublicanWire.org) – Customs and Border Protection released new statistics, and these new statistics  show a significant increase in border encounters. The numbers increased by nearly 10,000 more in November than October. Even more shocking, is that these encounters have gone up 130% in October and 140% in November from just last year!

The numbers indicate that President Biden’s administration still has been unable to find a solution for the border crisis which hit historic levels in fiscal year 2021. The number of encounters was 1.7 million from January to September.

The Biden administration has come under fire for its handling of the recent migrant surge that’s overwhelmed communities and officials. The root cause, according to them? There is violence and corruption in Central America. Republicans have blamed the administration’s policies. When Biden removed the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, it was a sign to the world that our borders were open.

To make matters worse, Chris Magnus was recently confirmed as CBP commissioner. Border agents were upset by Magnus’ Senate confirmation earlier this month.

One agent had this to say about Magnus, “He is pretty much hated, especially by those of us in the Tucson Sector since we know him.” The agent went on to say, “Somehow he has made a career off of hating law enforcement. He destroyed TPD [Tucson Police Department] and will do the same to CBP as a whole.”

Magnus, who has previously supported sanctuary cities, sounded a positive note about the November numbers.

Magnus said, “CBP’s November Monthly Operational Update reflects an incredible amount of work on behalf of the American people to keep dangerous drugs and products out of our communities, to facilitate travel and billions of dollars in trade, and to maintain security along our borders.”

Magnus continued with, “It’s an honor to lead a workforce whose mission is so vital to our economic health and national security. CBP’s vigilance is key to disrupting smugglers and transnational criminal organizations as they exploit vulnerable populations and attempt to traffic illegal and dangerous products.”

It is still too early to tell if Magnus will be able to make a significant difference in the border crisis, but for now it isn’t looking too good. The new statistics are shocking!

(RepublicanWire.org) – Frustrated White House press secretary Jen Psaki expressed disappointment on behalf of President Biden’s administration Friday after the Senate parliamentarian rejected their immigration reform proposal from a $2 trillion policy package.

Paski stated, “Well, the decision by the parliamentarian is deeply disappointing and relegates millions to an uncertain and frightening future.” She was very adamant when she said,  “The president, the administration, our partners on the Hill vehemently disagree with this decision.”

Psaki said it’s not over yet, adding that they will continue their outreach campaign and work to get amnesty passed. “And we’ll keep fighting to give relief and protection to the many Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers and essential workers who are living in fear,” she said. “Ultimately, it’s time for Congress to stop kicking the can down the road and finally provide certainty and stability to these groups and make other badly needed reforms to our outdated immigration system.”

Psaki was asked if Democrats would try to push for an overhaul of the parliamentarian position. She responded with, “I think they are. We would encourage and support any effort that they make to look at any ways to move immigration forward,” Psaki said. “But I’m not suggesting we’re advocating for a change in the Senate parliamentarian rules at this point in time. I’m just suggesting we support our efforts to get immigration reform done.”

Democrats in both the House and Senate see their reconciliation spending bill as a unique opportunity to pass immigration reform. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY called it “a window of opportunity.”

This could be possible because the filibuster threshold on a reconciliation bill is lowered from 60 to 51. However, it will require Senate Democrats to stay united in order for their plan to completely overhaul the immigration system without any GOP votes.

If the bills passed under reconciliation, they are also subject to “The Byrd Rule.”  This rule bars provisions that do not have a fiscal impact from being included in the bill. Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough rules which parts fall into this category.

(RepublicanWire.org) – The People’s Republic of China has always been an intimidating place.  What would it mean for America if we were under The Chinese government’s control?  They would control our words, behaviors, institutions,  everything about us. They would mold us to please the dictatorship in Beijing.

The American billionaires who have collaborated with Communist China to amass great wealth are betraying their country by prioritizing money over national security.

Even our president’s own son has gotten rich from business deals in China.

Despite the extraordinary consequences of defeat, America’s system is gradually drifting into a national security state that will clearly lose its war with Communist China.

The Pentagon and intelligence communities under Biden’s administration are distracted, focusing on creating a woke force rather than one capable of winning wars, and it is further weakening America.

The Chinese Communist Party’s system of government is a daunting challenge for any country that wants to become the world’s dominant superpower. If we do not reevaluate our capabilities and make an effort on this scale, then it may be too late before anyone knows what has happened!

Many people have gone to twitter to express their concern with our current administration and how vulnerable we are to potential threats.

The United States needs a full-blown investigation into the requirements for victory over China – and we must be willing to undertake every reform possible in order to maintain our safety, freedom and prosperity.

As a presidential candidate, Joe Biden promised to cancel $10,000 of student loan debt per borrower. More than 11 months into his administration and that promise has not yet been fulfilled.

While Biden was on the campaign trail he said, “I’m going to make sure everyone in this generation gets $10,000 knocked off their student debt.”

Biden’s decision not to grant another extension of the pause despite calls from some Democrats for him has drawn criticism. The repayment moratorium began in September 2020, and federal student loan payments are set to restart in February 2022.

A  tweet from Yvette Simpson said, “Black people saved democracy, put Biden in the WH & delivered the Senate. Student loan debt is one of the most significant contributors to the racial wealth gap. He doesn’t need Congress to do this. So he has ZERO excuses. This is indefensible & WILL hurt us in 2022 and 2024.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib makes $174K per year and she’s asking the American taxpayer to pay off her student debt too!

“I worked full time, Monday through Friday, and took weekend classes to get my law degree. And still, close to $200,000 in debt. And I still owe over $70,000 and most of it was interest,” Rep. Rashida Tlaib said.

If the Democrats pass a bill exonerating people from their contractual commitments, what about us who did the responsible thing and paid off our student debt, stuck to our bills, or maintained financial responsibility?

Kennedy from Kennedy Nation weighed saying, ‘I am not obligated to pay your student debt, and nor is the government. Your bad choices are not my problem. The end”

It looks like the Democrats are not feeling optimistic about Joe Biden running for Reelection in 2024. In a recent poll, one out of three said that he should not run for president in 2024 and 31% want him replaced by Vice President Harris. But that’s not the worst news…Read until the end to see who they’ve just added to the list of potential candidates!

Biden has long said that he will run for re-election after his four years are up, but new rumors are  that he would only run in 2020 to defeat Trump and help usher in a replacement of establishment choice.

A recent survey revealed that 60% of Democrats want him to seek a second term while only 9% of Republicans feel the same way. Among GOP voters, 86% disagree with their party’s leader and say Biden shouldn’t get another four years in office as president; 31%-percent disagreed when asked how long they wanted this current administration to stay in power.

If Biden didn’t run, Vice President Kamala Harris is leading with 31%  saying they would want her on the ticket if not Biden in 2024.

Next on the list is Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg with 11%.

Followed up by Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who are tied for third place with 8% each.

AOC is a new entrant on this list and one that seems to baffle the mind. No idea what makes Democrats think she would make a good President. The Socialist AOC would destroy America as we know it, and everyone, including the Democrats would be worse off for it.

Biden still pretends he’s running in 2024, not sure how that’s possible since most of his party doesn’t want him to. We’ll soon see how this all shakes out.

The President was quick to attribute this week’s extreme weather event as evidence that climate change is real and must be addressed by policy makers. Biden made remarks Saturday following the deadly storms and tornadoes which swept across Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri overnight.

Biden said, “all I know is that the intensity of the weather across the board has some impacts as a consequence of the warming of the planet and climate change.” He went on to say, “I’m going to be asking the EPA and others to take a look at that. The fact is that we all know everything is more intense when the climate is warming. Everything. And obviously it has some impact here, but I can’t give you a quantitative read on that.”

The recent storm was devastating, resulting in at least 70 deaths in Mayfield Kentucky. Three people confirmed dead in Tennessee. At least 2 dead, and dozens trapped as Amazon warehouse collapses in Illinois. In Bowling Green, Kentucky there were 11 reported dead. One person in a nursing home was reported dead in Arkansas. In St. Charles County, Missouri there was one killed and two injured. The pressure from the natural disasters caused significant damage to homes throughout this region.

When  Biden should have been talking about the devastation and loss we had as a country, he instead talked about climate change. It didn’t go unnoticed. Many took to twitter to criticize his remarks.

(RepublicanWire..org) – When the White House announced that Biden was nominating Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins for U.S attorney in Massachusetts, several members of Congress praised his appointment  while others thought it was a mistake.  Members who praised the nomination took to Twitter to show their approval.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren D-Mass tweeted, “She is a great choice for US Attorney – @SenMarkey and I were proud to recommend her to the Biden administration.”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass also showed her support by saying, “Congratulations to my sister in service, @DARollins, on her historic nomination.” “She has fought to transform our legal system by prioritizing racial justice, decarceration & reimagining public safety in MA. @POTUS has made an excellent choice.”

While the left was happy about the nomination, Rollins’ nomination was causing controversy, as the GOP voted against confirming her. Many spoke out against her nomination. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said she was a “lawless so-called prosecutor.” Sen. Tom Cotton R-Ark., who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, expressed “These actions resulted in a historic increase in murders and contributed to the crime wave. Rachael Rollins won’t stand up for the victims of these crimes, and I will seek to stop her nomination.”  Even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.,  criticized her by saying she was “soft on crime advocacy.”

While campaigning, Rollings shared some of her thoughts about what crimes she would not prosecute. These crimes included breaking and entering, trespassing,  drug possession cases,  or shoplifting.

With all the controversy about her nomination, a news crew attempted to interview her. This video of Rollins refusing to be interviewed by reporters outside of her house resurfaced Wednesday, after she was confirmed as President Biden’s U.S attorney for Massachusetts.

The interview from January 2021, where Rollins accused journalists of risking her children’s lives after they requested an interview near her home. The film crew for Fox-affiliate Boston 25 News asked if she would be willing to answer questions, and she became visibly upset.

“So as a Black woman, in this moment in this country, you’re going to put my f—ing house on screen?” Rollins questioned the reporter. Even though her address and house were never filmed during the attempted interview.

“No, no, no, ma’am, we’re just here approaching you to ask you a question,” the reporter responded.

Rollins was more than upset to see reporters as she continued her tirade. “Get away from my family. Speak to me at my job. If I get hurt or harmed because of this, you are on the record for that, or my kids are f—ing killed, who do you think you are?  This is private property. Get out of here!”

Then Rollins threatened to call the police on the reporter,  “And you know what I’ll do? I’ll call the police and make an allegation. And we’ll see how that works with you.”

“So the rantings of a white woman get you here and scare my children?” Rollins again questioned the reporter. “Get off our private property, and I swear to God, I’m dead serious. I will find your name.” Rollins stated in a threatening manner.

After this video resurfaced, people started questioning why Rollings would be worried about people coming to harass her family. Is she worried that her soft on crime policies could come back to harm her?

The president’s approval ratings have been slipping for weeks now, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to improve soon.

With the president’s approval ratings still sinking, it seems that there is no sign of him improving anytime soon. The latest numbers from NPR/Marist show his disapproval reaching 51%. A Monmouth University poll released earlier this week showed 40% approve and 50 percent do not – both conducted recently by phone interviews with Americans across America

A few weeks ago we saw another low point in POTUS’ history- 41%, which means two thirds (66%) now disagree with what he has done so far while only 36% agree.

It seems that every poll taken has seen President Biden’s approval ratings have been steadily declining for some time. Most recently, a recent poll from Real Clear Politics showed him with an average of 42% support and 52% oppose; this was before The Wall Street Journal surveyed Americans last month where they were 41% support and 57%oppose.

Biden’s efforts to combat the rise in inflation have not been successful.

The most recent polls show that a growing number of Americans don’t think Biden or congressional Democrats have had any positive effect on fighting high prices.

“One of the political problems with Biden’s spending plans is that they don’t seem all that relevant to the vast majority of Americans,” Monmouth University Polling Institute director Patrick Murray suggested.

Marist Poll director Barbara Carvalho said that Biden’s administration and other congressional Democrats are “not connecting the dots between concern about inflation and what’s happening in Washington, either with the infrastructure bill or Build Back Better.”

During Biden’s first six months in office, his approval rating hovered around the low to mid 50s, but that changed quickly when people saw him mishandle important issues such as Afghanistan, the handling of COVID-19, high consumer prices and an increase in border crossings from Mexico.

With President Biden’s approval ratings declining, this could spell major trouble for the Democrats in the 2022 elections, as they try to hold on to their  thin majorities in both  the House and Senate.
