Ben and Jerry’s has apparently decided that attacking the police seems to be a good way to generate sales. Latching onto the leftist “defund the police” movement — something that became popular as BLM and Antifa rioters swept the country, looting and burning communities while screeching about injustice — the Vermont ice cream makers have now released a new offering — and this new Ben and Jerry’s flavor will fund a “defund the police” bill.
The new flavor, “Change is Brewing,” was announced Monday. It features cold brew flavoring with a hint of marshmallow, fudge, and corruption. The new flavor, according to Newsmax, will benefit a $10 billion bill pushed by progressive Missouri Rep. Cori Bush that is intended to cut police funding and replace cops in many scenarios with social workers:
“Introducing Change is Brewing,” the Vermont-based company tweeted. The “flavor helping to transform the nation’s approach to public safety to one that prioritizes community needs, in collaboration w/ @Mvmnt4BlkLives. Join us in supporting the People’s Response Act!”
The flavor is a mix of cold-brew coffee ice cream, marshmallow swirls, and fudge brownies, the company’s website says.
“Grab your spoon & dig into a flavor boldly celebrating safety & liberation for all,” the flavor’s description says. “It’s time to divest from systems that criminalize Black communities & invest in a vision of public safety that allows everyone to breathe free.”
Customers who buy the ice cream online can sign up for email notifications about Bush’s bill, join the Movement for Black Lives, and support the People’s Response Act.
“The flavor supports the vision of the world in which every community is safe, and everyone, including black and brown people, can thrive,” Ben and Jerry’s U.S. Activism Manager Jabari Paul says. It’s unclear what portion of sales will go toward attacking our men and women in Blue, but it doesn’t matter. At this point, Ben and Jerry’s stands for nothing but corruption.
