(RepublicanWire.org) – On Sunday, Kamala Harris gave a speech in Tallahassee, Florida over abortion where she quoted the Declaration of Independence but left out the part of the document that said Americans have a right to life.

On the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the now-reversed landmark Supreme Court case that established a federal right to abortion, Harris attacked Gov. Ron DeSantis and Republican lawmakers whom she called “extremists,” for protecting the rights of unborn children.

At the beginning of her speech, Harris quoted the Declaration of Independence — but omitted the right to “life.”

“We are here together because we collectively believe and know, America is a promise, America is a promise – it is a promise of freedom and liberty,” Harris said. “Not for some, but for all. A promise that we made in the Declaration of Independence that we are each endowed with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The opening of the Declaration of Independence declares:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Later in her speech, Harris suggested that Americans cannot “truly be free” without legalized abortion. Never mind the Constitution and its Bill of Rights.

Moreover, Harris used her speech to demand that Congress pass legislation codifying “reproductive rights” (i.e., abortion), conflating “reproductive rights” with “freedom and liberty.” Harris promised that President Joe Biden would promptly sign into law any such legislation.

Harris announced that the Biden administration planned to further extend ways to provide abortion pills to those who seek them.

However, that is unlikely to happen because Republicans now control a majority in the House.

On Sunday, Biden signed a presidential memorandum to protect nationwide access to abortion medication. The memorandum does not usurp states that have outlawed such medication, but directs the government to explore protecting it.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday called for blanket amnesty for millions of illegal aliens living in the United States.

Schumer, said that America needs new immigrants “now more than ever” to combat declining reproduction rates and the lowest population growth in the country’s history.

“Now more than ever, we’re short of workers, we have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to, the only way we’re gonna have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants! The DREAMers and all of them!” Schumer said.

Of course everyone knows this is political.

The Democrats will use the millions of illegal aliens to permanently entrench their party.

Many reminded Schumer of the irony that he and the Democratic Party support abortion yet are complaining about low birth rates and looking to absolve illegal border-crossers to solve that problem.

Conservatives on social media expressed shocked that Schumer seriously made that argument. 

Conservative political strategist Greg Price commented, “They say that it’s empowering to stay single forever and never start a family, claim having kids destroys the environment, promote abortion as a moral good, and their solution when they realize people aren’t having enough kids is to import the third world to replace them.”

He then laid into Schumer directly, adding, “Chuck Schumer has also been in government since the 1980s and helped create the economy of today that makes it virtually impossible for people my age to build wealth and start a family. The man has literally done nothing but preside over America’s decline.”

Rep Andy Biggs tweeted, “.@SenSchumer now wants amnesty for 11 million ‘undocumented’ individuals. That’s strange. He previously called them ‘illegal’ and said illegal immigration is ‘wrong.’ Unfortunately, Democrats like Chuck have caved to the open borders lobby and woke mob.”

Per a 2018 Yale study, an estimated 22 million illegal aliens are living in the U.S. Under President Joe Biden’s watch, some project that 5.5 million have crossed the border.

There are other ways to encourage population growth. Tax incentives that benefit couples who marry and have children and other pro-natalist policies could help.

Yet it seems obvious that Democrats want to pass amnesty because they believe it would create a new class of voters for them.

(RepublicanWire.org) – Despite Democrats’ stronger-than-expected showing in the midterm elections, President Joe Biden is not confident he will be able to check off another part of his agenda.

While taking reporters’ questions in Indonesia Monday, Biden was asked by NBC News’ Peter Alexander, “What can Americans expect from Congress as it relates to abortion rights after the midterms?”

“I don’t think they can expect much of anything other than we’re going to maintain our positions. I’m not gonna get into more questions. I shouldn’t even answer your question,” Biden responded.

He went on to explain, “I don’t think there’s enough votes to codify [Roe v. Wade] unless something happens unusual in the House. I think we’re going to get very close in the House, but I don’t think we’re going to make it.”

In October, the president shared that his first legislative priority, if Democrats expanded their majorities, would be protecting abortion access.

“The court got Roe right nearly 50 years ago,” Biden declared. “And I believe Congress should codify Roe once and for all.”

He went on, “Right now, we’re short a handful of votes. If you care about the right to choose, then you’ve got to vote. That’s why in these midterm elections, it’s so critical to elect more Democratic senators to the United States Senate and more Democrats to keep control of the House of Representatives.”

“The first bill that I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade. And when Congress passes it, I’ll sign it in January — 50 years after Roe was first decided the law of the land,” he added.

Biden’s comments were met with celebration from pro-life advocates, who have worked in states around the country to pass new legislation in response to the Supreme Court’s June ruling.

The “codify Roe” bill actually would go much further than the 1973 ruling. Nicknamed the Abortion Without Limits Up to Birth Act, it would force states to legalize abortions for basically any reason up to birth and force taxpayers to pay for them. The bill, which Democrats named the Women’s Health Protection Act, also would end parental consent for minors and jeopardize conscience protections for doctors and nurses who refuse to abort unborn babies.

Polls consistently show that Americans support limits on abortion, including parental consent and bans on taxpayer funding for elective abortions.

A 2022 Marist poll found that just 36 percent of Americans believe abortions should be legal without any restrictions. Additionally, 73 percent oppose using tax dollars to fund abortions.

Similarly, a 2021 Associated Press poll found that 65 percent believe second-trimester abortions should be illegal and 80 percent believe they should be illegal in the third trimester.

In October, U.S. Catholic bishops condemned Biden’s “single-minded extremism” on abortion after he named the radical pro-abortion bill as his top priority for 2023. One archbishop described the legislation as “child sacrifice,” saying it’s what “one would expect from a devout Satanist, not a devout Catholic.”

(RepublicanWire.org) – White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday dodged reporter’s questions.

First RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann asked two questions. Whether the president’s proposed codification of Roe would reverse individual states’ abortion restrictions implemented before the ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe. And then, whether the president would support any restrictions on abortion.

“What the president is going to do, and wants to do and believes in doing is codifying Roe,” Jean-Pierre answered. “He believes that is what was law of the land, a constitutional right for almost 50 years and he believes, in its specific provisions, was rightly decided. He has said this regularly, including right after Dobbs, and that has not changed.”

“Right, but that didn’t answer either question. First of all, there are individual state restrictions on abortion in the books currently around the country,” Wegmann responded. “Some of those existed before the Dobbs case, before the overturn of Roe. Would the president, with this bill to codify Roe — does he want that bill to go farther?”

“I just answered that question, he believes in Roe and how it stood before the Dobbs decision,” she answered. The 1973 Roe decision legalized abortion nationwide up until the point of fetal viability, around 22 weeks. States remained free to restrict the procedure beyond that point.

When Wegmann repeated his question about whether the president supports any restrictions, the press secretary encouraged him to read the Roe v. Wade decision to understand the president’s stance on abortion.

The president promised during a Tuesday address that he would enshrine the provisions of Roe v. Wade in federal law if the Democrats are able to keep control of the House and win a clear majority in the Senate in November’s the midterm elections.

“The first bill I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade. And when Congress passes it, I’ll sign it in January, 50 years after Roe was first decided the law of the land,” Biden said.

Then, Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked questions about the administration’s priorities.

Given that inflation and economic issues are top concerns for Americans, Doocy wondered why President Biden is leaning into abortion.

“What is President Biden’s top domestic priority now?  Is it inflation or is it abortion?” he asked.  

Instead of offering a straightforward response, Jean-Pierre said both are important, clarifying that inflation is “his number-one economic priority.”  

Doocy didn’t let up.

 “You just said it’s ‘his number-one economic priority.’ We’ve heard the President say inflation is his top domestic priority, but now he’s saying, come next year, his first bill would be abortion related.  So is his number-one domestic priority abortion or is it inflation?”

The press secretary, in a roundabout answer, claimed Biden is “working on the economy every day,” which prompted another tough question from Doocy.

“So you said he’s been working on the economy every day for 19 months.  Now Bloomberg economists are forecasting a 100 percent chance of a recession.  So how is it that we can be barreling towards a recession and the economy is, as the President says, ‘strong as hell’?

“What we are seeing right now is the job market is strong, the labor force is strong.  And that is not what we see usually before — before a recession,” she replied. And a lot of that is because of the work that this President has done,” Jean-Pierre continued. 

(RepublicanWire.org) – Fox Across America host Jimmy Failla blasted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Friday morning for the congresswoman’s recent video about the “burdens of capitalism.”

“There are quite a few countries that are really struggling because young people, under the burdens of capitalism, are not having kids. We’re not having kids at the same rate! We actually need immigrants to help balance things out,” explained the Congresswoman in a social media post on Wednesday.

Failla roasted AOC, calling her “a low-IQ TikToker who happens to serve Congress.”

Failla said, “you’ve always got to qualify this through the lens of, AOC is a low-IQ TikToker who happens to serve in Congress. Okay, when she says we need immigration because of Social Security and funding, stuff like that. Yes. But the caveat there is we need legal immigration, because legal immigration is what contributes to Social Security and funds the systems. What they’re encouraging on the Democratic side of town is anything but legal immigration. But going one step further, young people aren’t having kids. Yes, they’re waiting longer. But also, your party is championing the idea of not having kids as a badge, abort them. They’re walking around like that’s a badge of honor now. We went from abortion is safe, legal and rare to like ‘I’m so proud it’s abortion Tuesday.”

Joe Manchin may have voted to impeach Trump, but he isn’t entirely crazy. In what he calls a stance against “extremism” in the Democrat Party, Manchin announced he will fight the Democrats’ plans to do away with the legislative filibuster and push through whatever nonsensical and wasteful bills they want.

“If I haven’t said it very plain, maybe Sen. McConnell hasn’t understood, I want to basically say it for you. That I will not vote in this Congress, that’s two years, right? I will not vote” to change the filibuster, the West Virginia Democrat said in an interview earlier this week. “And I hope with that guarantee in place he will work in a much more amicable way.”

Manchin’s commitment to at least a level playing field in legislating did not go unnoticed. Pro-Life group Susan B. Anthony List thanked Manchin for refusing to kill the filibuster. Activists lined courthouses in three West Virginia cities, beginning in Charleston and ending in Wheeling.

Marilyn Musgrave, vice president of government affairs for the organization, says that the filibuster is the only thing stopping Democrats from a full-on pro-abortion agenda. “And yet we have Joe Manchin courageous enough to stand up to his own party and say he’s going to do the right thing and I tell you the people of West Virginia agree with him,” she says.

“This is so significant in saving babies that have not yet been born,” Musgrave adds. “This is a strong pro-life state and he’s representing those values very well when he retains the filibuster.”

The filibuster requires 60 “yea” votes and prevents the Democrats from using their majority to do whatever they want with no support from people who represent everyday Americans. Watch a report on Manchin’s shocking decision to do the right thing below:
