According to White House Propaganda Minister Jen Psaki, Joe Biden isn’t happy with the level of censorship conservatives are facing and he thinks something needs to change. No, he doesn’t want to do anything to protect us or force social media giants to value free speech and thought. That’d make too much sense. In fact, he doesn’t think there’s enough censorship.
Following Facebook’s decision not to reinstate President Trump’s account, which was banned following the January 6 incident when the President tried to calm everyone down and was removed from almost all social media, Psaki stepped out in front of the American people and did what she does best.
Psaki says Biden thinks “major platforms have a responsibility related to the health and safety of all Americans to stop amplifying untrustworthy content, disinformation and misinformation, especially related to COVID-19, vaccinations and elections.” Calling conservative ideas “life threatening” speech, Psaki says Biden’s mission is to urge Big Tech to do more to silence it.
“I think we are, of course, a believer in First Amendment rights, I think what the decisions are that the social media platforms need to make is how they address disinformation, misinformation, especially related to life threatening issues, like COVID-19 and vaccinations,” Psaki says. But many if not most of those who have been banned are innocent of all those things. Social media companies have been targeting conservatives for quite some time.
Though the Biden administration dresses it up, make no mistake: they are coming for you. They are coming for your freedom, your ideas, your welfare. They are coming for your ability to freely discuss issues and be fully informed. Fight back.
