In another stunning display of defiance and patriotism, Oklahoma’s attorney general has filed suit against the federal government for mandating vaccinations of COVID-19. John O’Connor argued that this violates individuals rights as guaranteed under both state law and The Bill Of Rights which grants all Americans freedoms.

Oklahoma’s AG has passionately spoken out against Biden’s mandate for military members and federal employees in a press release that claims it is “unlawful.” and “does not reflect the Land of the Free.”

The AG is warning that members of the state’s National Guard may quit their jobs rather than get vaccinated. He claims this would “irreparably harm” Oklahomans’ safety and security, according to NewsOK.

“Their support and funding for this lawsuit protects hardworking Oklahomans in federal jobs, and our Oklahoma National Guard members from Biden’s reckless and unlawful vaccine mandates,” he said in a press release.

With the recent rise in anti-vaxxer sentiment, more than two dozen states have filed lawsuits against President Joe Biden’s vaccine requirement for private companies. The high stakes legal showdown pits federal authority against state rights.

“This mandate is unconstitutional, unlawful, and unwise,” Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said in a court filing in the St. Louis-based 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of 11 states.

The administration is confident that its requirement, which includes penalties of nearly $14K per violation and covers safety rules pre-empting state laws will withstand legal challenges.

“The administration clearly has the authority to protect workers, and actions announced by the president are designed to save lives and stop the spread of COVID,” Karine Jean-Pierre, a spokeswoman for the White House said.

As the list of states suing over the mandates continues to grow, Biden’s ability to require vaccines seems to be waning.
