Joe Biden is a “Devout Catholic” according to Democrats. So why then did he deign not to mention Jesus a single time during his Easter address? Granted, it was short. Biden doesn’t think that Americans deserve even two minutes of his time during one of the holiest days of the year. But he had time to mention COVID-19 seven times during the address. Jesus? Not so much.
As we are all aware, Easter is the day that celebrates our Lord and Savior’s resurrection — an act that saved all of mankind, whether they be Democrats or Republicans. While many Republicans gave honor to Jesus for this truly magnificent sacrifice, Democrats — and notably Biden — are much more silent on the occasion.
We share the sentiments of Pope Francis who said that getting vaccinated is a moral obligation, one that can save your life and the lives of others,” Biden says in a video on his Twitter account. “By getting vaccinated and encouraging your congregations and your communities to get vaccinated, we not only can beat this virus, we can also haste the day when we can celebrate the holidays together.” His wife adds that there is “hope all around us” — but once again, this is related to COVID, not Jesus.
“The virus is not gone and so many of us still feel the longing and the loneliness of distance,” Biden tells Americans. “For a second year, most will be apart from their families, their friends, full congregations that fill us with joy.”
“By getting vaccinated and encouraging your congregations and your communities to get vaccinated, we not only can beat this virus, we can also haste the day when we can celebrate the holidays together,” he says.
It’s true that Democrat policies are keeping people from their families, but Biden’s decision to say “Happy Easter” while ignoring the reason for the holiday is a slap in the face to Americans and Christians everywhere. At least he managed to speak in complete sentences. That’s an improvement, right? Watch it below:
