Hillary Clinton still isn’t taking losing to Donald Trump in 2016 very well. On the “Just Something About Her” podcast with host Jennifer Palmieri, a former Clinton spokeswoman, Clinton launched into an unhinged rant attacking gun owners, Republicans, Ted Cruz specifically, and more.
“You know, democracy is the balancing of interests and rights, and unfortunately at this time, the gun worshipers have a huge advantage because of the filibuster and because of their shameless exploitation of people’s unwarranted fears,” Clinton babbled. This is untrue. The Senate is split 50-50 and Kamala Harris is the tiebreaker. Democrats have the upper hand and fear the filibuster because it evens things out.
“The opportunists on the other side, like Cruz and his ilk,” she says, “know better and they are in the position of trying to keep people really riled up and scared that sensible gun legislation like we had in the ‘90s for 10 years will somehow undermine their rights.”
“Well, what about the rights of all the rest of us?” Clinton raged. “The rights of us to go to work, go shopping, go on dates to the movie theater, go to school, for heaven’s sake — what about the rest of us?”
The full interview has yet to be released, but The Recount tweeted some of Clinton’s remarks. We can be sure that the rest of it is spent launching evidenceless attacks against Republicans, whining about Donald Trump, and scaremongering the sheep on the Left into whatever Democrats’ next unconstitutional scheme is. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer says that he intends to bring gun control legislation to the Senate when it is next in session. Watch the video below:
