Communist China still refuses to cooperate with the World Health Organization’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19. Mounting evidence indicates that the virus which has taken the world by storm, at minimum, originated in a lab in Wuhan. At worst, it was intentionally released. Now that the world is waking up to this reality, China has decided that the best thing to do is refuse to cooperate with the world’s attempt to figure out what happened.
“In some aspects, the WHO’s plan for next phase of investigation of the coronavirus origin doesn’t respect common sense, and it’s against science. It’s impossible for us to accept such a plan,” Zeng Yixin, deputy head of China’s National Health Commission, said during a press conference, claiming that — despite evidence — “no worker or researcher at the [Wuhan Institute of Virology] got infected by coronavirus” fell ill shortly after the world discovered the pandemic-in-progress. Fake News CNN reluctantly reports that while initial assessments were that COVID spread from animals to humans, the initial reporting was so wrong that Joe Biden was forced to investigate all possibilities — including the probability that COVID started in a Wuhan lab:
However, in March, a member of the WHO team who helped oversee the original investigation said the Wuhan lab leak theory did “not receive the same depth of attention and work” as the animal hypothesis.WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus joined calls for China to cooperate more fully with a new Covid-19 origins investigation on July 15, saying the first had been hampered by a lack of raw data on the early days of the pandemic.”
We ask China to be transparent and open and to cooperate,” he told a news conference. “We owe it to the millions who suffered and the millions who died to know what happened.”Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on July 16 the government had cooperated fully with the initial investigation and refuted allegations that researchers had been denied access to any locations or data.”
China’s position on the issue of global origin-tracing is consistent and clear. (The) origins study is a scientific issue. All parties should respect the opinions of scientists and scientific conclusions, instead of politicizing the issue,” he said.
“The details of the reporting go beyond a State Department fact sheet, issued during the final days of the Trump administration, which said that several researchers at the lab, a center for the study of coronaviruses and other pathogens, became sick in autumn 2019 ‘with symptoms consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness,’” The Wall Street Journal reports. “The disclosure of the number of researchers, the timing of their illnesses and their hospital visits come on the eve of a meeting of the World Health Organization’s decision-making body, which is expected to discuss the next phase of an investigation into Covid-19’s origins.”
While we can’t definitively prove (yet) that COVID-19 was an attack on the world, China’s reticence to allow a proper investigation says everything we need to know.
