Washed-up actor and failed governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has a message for you if you make your own choices regarding your personal health: ‘Screw your freedom.” As Americans, we have the right to choose whether or not to wear a mask when we go out. Sure, liberals try to shame us and the Biden Administration is straight-up throwing people in jail if they don’t wear a mask on White House and Capitol grounds. And sure, some states are implementing mask mandates again. But the reality is that Americans can decide for themselves whether or not to wear a mask. But to the former Governor of California — a state that recently implemented a vaccine mandate for state and healthcare workers — freedom shouldn’t exist.
“I think people should know there is a virus here, it kills people,” Schwarzenegger says in a recent CNN appearance. “And the only way we prevent it is we get vaccinated, we wear masks, we do social distancing, washing your hands all of the time, and not just to think about, ‘Well, my freedom is being kind of disturbed here.’ No, screw your freedom. Because with freedom comes obligations and responsibilities.”
“You cannot say, ‘No one is going to tell me that I’m going to stop here, that I have to stop at this traffic light here. I’m going to go right through it.'” he says, illogically comparing a fashion choice with traffic laws. “Then you kill someone else, and then it is your doing.”
“We have to come together rather than fighting and always just saying, ‘According to my principles this is a free country and I have the freedom to wear no mask,'” he adds. “Yeah, you have the freedom to wear no mask, but you know something? You’re a schmuck for not wearing a mask.”
Sorry, Arnold. COVID has a tiny chance of killing most people. We have the freedom to choose — “my body my choice, right? — whether or not to wear a mask. And no one is going to take that freedom away. Watch it below:
