Joe Biden’s immigration policies are a failure. Not only is Mexico worried that our current President*’s open border policies are enabling and empowering criminal cartels and drug gangs, but Americans have numerous concerns. Are the people crossing the border criminals? Or, as a recent Rasmussen poll reveals, are they infecting us with COVID?
Recently, a bombshell report highlighted a major issue at the border. “Migrants” coming into our country are testing positive for COVID-19 and aren’t required to quarantine. More than 100 illegals tested positive in a single Texas town. Officials say that they advise those who test positive to quarantine, but many say they do not plan to. Instead, they plan to travel to other parts of the country, infecting Americans along the way. The problem is so pervasive that the Biden Administration won’t even provide a direct answer on whether or not these immigrants are quarantining.
Americans have a right to be concerned. And they are. “Regarding the growing number of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico, how concerned are you about the government’s ability to handle them while meeting Covid-19 protocols?” the poll asks. A whopping 73 percent of voters say they are “concerned” about the issue. This includes 86 percent of Republicans, 74 percent of Independents, and even 61 percent of Democrats.
Despite Americans’ clear concern with Biden’s ability to handle the border crisis — which has so far been mismanaged in every possible way during his tenure as President — Democrats like Nancy Pelosi choose to blame Biden’s failures on President Trump.
Illegals at the border admit they are coming here because they feel Biden invited them into America with open arms. The source of the problem is clear. If we must wear masks to the grocery store and quarantine if we have COVID, the same standards must be applied to people entering our country. It’s only reasonable.
